When a home goes on the market, how it smells is part of the first impression. If the HVAC system is carrying pet, smoke or cooking odors, a pre-listing duct cleaning is one way to address that before photos and showings.

The smells buyers tend to flinch at: pet (cat especially), smoke, cooking grease, and mustiness from humidity. The HVAC system can carry all four from room to room, so wiping down surfaces alone may not be enough.
