Why We Won't Price Your Maryland Duct Cleaning Over the Phone
From the owner of a Maryland duct company. Why in-home written quotes beat phone-quotes every time.

Customers call and ask, completely reasonably: "how much for the whole house?" I get why people want a single number on the phone. Every other industry quotes by phone. But duct cleaning is one of the trades where a phone-quote is almost always either a lowball hook or a high guess that bakes in the worst case. Either way, you lose. So we do it differently.
Why we come look before we name a number
Every Maryland home we walk into is different. The supply vent count alone can range from 6 to 25 in homes that look identical from the curb. Air handler condition, ductwork age, attic access, crawlspace access, dryer vent run length, and pet/smoking history all change the scope of an honest job. Pricing in person, after we've actually looked, is how we keep our written quote binding instead of guessing.
What an in-home Eagle quote covers
- Walk-through with you — we count every supply and return vent
- Open the air handler so we can both see what's inside before anything is touched
- HEPA-cam shot into the trunk so you can see what we see
- Dryer-vent length + access check (roof, exterior wall, basement)
- Written quote handed to you on paper — the scope and the number side by side
- Honest call on what's NOT needed (we have walked away from upsells competitors would chase)
What is always included in an Eagle air-duct job
- HEPA-cam pre-clean inspection of every vent — you see what we see
- Negative-pressure HEPA vacuum cleaning of supply + return
- Brush + air-whip agitation of duct walls
- Air handler / blower compartment cleaning — the step most companies skip
- Post-clean HEPA-cam verification of every vent
- 3rd-party IAQ Lab Report mailed within 5 business days
What we do differently
Eagle ships a 3rd-party Indoor Air Quality Lab Report with every job — included. The lab is independent of us; the report is graded by people we don't pay per result. We're the only Maryland duct cleaner that does this.
The kind of phone-quote that should make you suspicious
If a Maryland duct cleaner throws out a flat "whole-house" number on a 90-second phone call before they have looked at your vent count, system, or access — that number is almost always the hook. Once they are in your home, the scope grows and the price grows with it. Or worse: the cheap number is what they actually do, and the job is half a job. Either way, you didn't get an honest read of your home. Ours always comes after we have stood inside it.
